The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office on Wednesday announced the indictment of 17 people and five corporations for operating the high-priced prostitution and drug ring.

District Attorney Charles Hynes says the defendants have been charged with running several websites that advertised escort services and with selling cocaine and other controlled substances.

He says the Sheepshead Bay-based ring brought in more than $2 million a year

The DA’s office says the defendants used a billing technique that concealed the nature of the purchases on clients’ credit cards statements.
